Patient surveys

Patient surveys are of great importance to the Trust and are a barometer of how good a job we are doing in making sure our patients have the best possible experience in our hospitals

  • Inpatient survey The new 2009 NHS Inpatient Survey was published by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on 19 May 2010 and shows improvements on previous years, with ten out of ten areas showing positive results compared to nine in 2008 and five in 2007.
  • Outpatient survey The results of the Care Quality Commission's outpatient survey 2009 were published on 25 February 2010. The survey shows mixed results for our Trust.
  • Survey of women's experiences of maternity services The Care Quality Commission's 'Survey of women's experiences of maternity services 2010', shows that the Trust is performing very well in a number of key areas, including the overall level of care given to new mums throughout their pregnancy and labour.
  • National Cancer Patient Experience Survey The National Cancer Patient Experience Survey 2010 was published on 21 January 2011. The report is carried out by Quality Health, on behalf of the Department of Health, and includes trust level data.
  • Patient feedback trackers Patients at Epsom and St Helier hospitals are being offered another way to tell hospital bosses exactly what they think. Thanks to 15 portable computers called patient feedback trackers, inpatients in the two hospitals can give their views on a range of topics at the press of a button.
