  • Bringing the outdoors, inside Carshalton College PaintingsWell known local landmarks can now be seen under one roof at St Helier Hospital, thanks to a group of budding artists from a local college. The 12 students, whose ages range from 17 to 24, created paintings of historic local scenes whilst studying a national diploma in art and design at Carshalton College. 24 September 2008
  • Room gets make over, thanks to Surrey SANDS Maternity room opening with two midwives, Lorna Bland and husband ChrisA comfortable, homely space has been created for parents who have just experienced a stillbirth at Epsom Hospital. The Surrey branch of the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society (SANDS) donated £2,500 which paid for the refurbishment work in the room at Epsom Hospital's maternity unit. 22 September 2008
  • Figures show MRSA rates cut in half New figures released today by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) show a drop in the number of cases of MRSA at Epsom, Sutton and St Helier hospitals. 18 September 2008
  • £215 million proposals going to Boards of local NHS A proposal to reshape local health services in Sutton and Merton at a cost of around £215 million is going to the Boards of Sutton and Merton Primary Care Trust and Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust this month for approval. 10 September 2008
  • Trust announces further details about organisational review In July, the Trust announced plans with NHS London, its strategic health authority, to review the way that it is configured with a view to establishing whether there is a better way of managing the hospitals. 03 September 2008
