More than 50 members of staff from Epsom, Sutton and St Helier hospitals recently completed vocational training programmes.
To mark the occasion, they were presented with certificates by the Trust's Chief Executive, Samantha Jones during a special ceremony at the Holiday Inn in Sutton.
All of the staff have completed one of eight different courses, including NVQs in business administration, cleaning and support services. Others had gained qualifications in information technology.
Samantha Jones said she was delighted to present the awards: "Studying for a qualification is not easy when you have a day job to do too.
"As a Trust, we invest a lot of time and money into making sure our staff receive the best training and qualifications. Not only is this good for them, but it helps us further improve the running of our hospitals and, in turn, the care we provide to patients."
Penny Coates, a phlebotomist medical laboratory assistant received an NVQ level two in clinical laboratory support. She said: "I'm delighted to have been recognised in this way and it was great that everyone's achievements were celebrated."
