Staff at Epsom, Sutton and St Helier hospitals are queuing up to get their hands on the Trust's answer to an Oscar, The Chief Executive's Award of Excellence.
The Chief Executive's Award of Excellence is a monthly award which goes to a member of staff, or team, that has gone above and beyond the call of duty and was introduced last year to recognise the fantastic efforts that staff make every single day.
Peter Coles is the Trust's interim Chief Executive. He said: "Staff in our hospitals work extremely hard to make sure patients are given the best possible care. Every month we receive hundreds of letters, cards, emails and phone calls from people who want to thank us for looking after them.
"There are occasions when people exceed even their own high expectations, pull out all the stops and go the extra mile. It's these moments - and these people - that the award honours."
Recent winners include renal nurse Debbie Noble, who walked nine miles to give urgent dialysis to kidney patient Steph Crawford during the heavy snow in February.
Debbie said: "There are so many dedicated, committed people working for the Trust - please nominate someone if they've made an impression on you."
The winner, who is picked from nominations from staff, volunteers, patients and their friends and families, receives a certificate and £30 worth of gift vouchers. In addition, all of the year's winners are entered into a draw and one is selected to attend a Queen's Garden Tea Party with their guest at Buckingham Palace.
Peter said: "We'd encourage anyone who's had really good care at the hospitals, or who was particularly impressed by a member of staff, to nominate them for an award. What better way is there to say thank you?"
