New figures show that the number of visitors to the Trust's website has reached an all-time high - just as the site approaches the first anniversary of its launch.

Almost 12 months ago, the website for Epsom and St Helier University Hospital NHS Trust was re-launched, complete with a full ward directory, directions to the Trust's hospitals and details of our plans for the future.

Following a successful start, which saw people from as far away as Panama logging on to read more about the Trust, more and more people have been visiting the site.

And this January was the site's busiest month yet, with a massive 130,000 pages being looked at. The average number of page views per month is 103,000 - that's a rise of more than 26 per cent. The number of visitors to the site also went up, and visits topped 25,000 for the first time ever. The average is just over 21,000 visits per month.

The number of people visiting the site using hand-held devices such as iPhones and Blackberries also went up, and seven people used their PlayStation 3's to access the website.

Web manager, Alex Schleif, led the re-launch of the site and has been working for the last 12 months to add even more information to the site, as well as keeping all of the current pages up-to-date. He said: "We're really pleased that the website is proving to be popular. With more than 800 pages, it really does contain a wealth of information and is a great resource for our patients, staff, visitors and anyone who wants to learn more about the Trust."

The website is complete with a full A-Z of all of our services, so if you or a loved one have an upcoming appointment at one of the Trust's hospitals, this is the perfect place to find out more about the department you will be visiting, the lead staff there and the relevant contact details.

There's also a consultant's directory, which contains details about more than 200 Trust consultants, including their specialities, where they trained and what research they have conducted.

Alex added: "A lot of hard work has gone into making the site what it is, and we're pleased to say that it looks like that hard work is paying off. But, there's a lot more to do, and we're committed to providing our users with the very best possible website."

And it's not just our website that's proved popular with internet surfers, as our Twitter page (the micro-blogging site where you can post brief updates about your latest news) now has more than 330 followers.

You can also follow us on Facebook, where you can find our page with photos, details of future events and keep up-to-date with all of our latest news.
