Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is asking patients, visitors and local people, as well as its staff and volunteers, for their views on car parking at Epsom, St Helier and Sutton hospitals.
The review, called 'The Big Conversation', was launched on Monday (12 July) and means that people can easily give their views on a variety of aspects of parking at the Trust's hospitals.
Topics covered by the survey include: whether the Trust's charges and associated penalties are fair, whether there is priority parking for those that need it, and whether the Trust should stop clamping vehicles for parking infringements.
Nick Gorvett is the Trust's Director of Corporate Infrastructure. He said: "We have almost 2,000 car parking spaces across three hospitals open for 365 days a year. Approximately a million patients, visitors and staff park at our hospitals each year.
"We are committed to listening to people and making sure we are doing all we can to strike the balance between having well run car parks, whilst making sure we do not make it difficult for patients to access to our services or stop friends and relatives visiting.
"It is vital that the car parks at our three hospitals are managed well and efficiently. We need to ensure that emergency vehicles can access areas that they need to, when they need to, and that the patients and visitors coming to our hospitals can park conveniently in a safe and well-maintained area.
"We are encouraging our patients, visitors, and local people who have used the Trust's car parks to take part in the review - your views are important to us and will enable us to make sure the Trust's car parks are as good, and as well-managed, as they can possibly be."
