The Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Croft as Director of People and Organisational Development.
Kevin, who lives in Kingston, has worked for the NHS for 18 years and joins from NHS North West London, the organisation responsible for running NHS services in north west London.
Prior to this, Kevin spent four and a half years at North Middlesex University Hospital, where he was Director of Organisational Development and Human Resources (HR).
Bringing with him a wealth of experience of working with major teaching hospitals during times of organisational change, Kevin started work at the Trust on 6 June 2011.
Kevin is also the President of the Healthcare People Management Association, a national body that represents HR professionals in the NHS. In addition, he has worked with the Department of Health on a number of initiatives to improve HR practice across the NHS.
Kevin said: "I am delighted to be joining the Epsom, Sutton and St Helier hospitals and look forward to using my experience and time in the NHS to support staff across the Trust in providing the best possible care to patients.
"The Trust employs more than 4,770 doctors, nurses and other staff and it's vital they have access to high quality training and education. We must also make sure they are well managed and receive regular feedback about their own performance."
Matthew Hopkins, Chief Executive of the Trust, said: "We are delighted that Kevin is joining the Trust, and look forward to benefiting from his years of experience and expertise.
"The way the NHS works is changing and, like other hospitals across the country, we need to further improve the care our patients receive, whilst making sure taxpayers' receive the best value for money. Kevin and his team will have a crucial role to play in supporting this, including getting staff, as well as their union representatives, involved in shaping the way we develop our services."
Kevin takes over the reins from Michael Burden, the former Director of Human Resources, who has taken a secondment opportunity with our strategic health authority, NHS London. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family and keeping fit.
