As such, a special committee (known as a Transaction Board) was set up to explore and, once approved, implement alternative options.   • Christmas and New Year bundles of joy for parents at Epsom and St Helier hospitals Noah Flaherty was the first Christmas baby born at St Helier Hospital.Thirteen families in Surrey and southwest London celebrated the best Christmas present imaginable with the arrival of new babies born on Christmas Day 2011 at Epsom and St Helier hospitals.
