Last Tuesday, the special committee (known as the Transaction Board) in charge of overseeing the de-merger of Epsom and St Helier hospitals met to discuss the next steps. 13 February 2012

As such, a special committee (known as a Transaction Board) was set up to explore and, once approved, implement alternative options. This is likely to see Epsom and St Helier (including Sutton) hospitals de-merge and merge with other hospitals. 23 January 2012

So far, donations have included photos depicting bomb damage from a V2 rocket during World War II and a visit to the nurses' school. 17 November 2011

The banner, which has been mounted to the front of the hospital, is 17.5 metres long and 7.5 metres high, making it almost as long as a 'bendy bus', and as tall as a house. 14 November 2011

This will see the hospitals de-merge and merge with others.   • Royal Surrey withdraw from merger bid Epsom Hospital signOn 4 October 2011, we were informed by Royal Surrey County NHS Foundation Trust that they are no longer planning to bid to merge with Epsom Hospital and are withdrawing from the process. Royal Surrey's reasons for doing this are linked to their other strategic priorities and they have been very clear with us that it is no reflection on Epsom Hospital, our staff or the services we provide. 05 October 2011

St Helier prepares for demolition works A two-man team test the ground beneath the car park at St Helier Hospital.The £219 million redevelopment of St Helier Hospital has taken another step forward with a team of expert ground surveyors boring holes of up to 200 feet across the site in preparation for building work to start. A team of specialists spent a total of three weeks drilling bore holes to check that the ground near to where demolition work will take place is strong enough. 05 September 2011
