The aim of the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) lifestyle management group programme is to support you in making some life style changes that while initially challenging should help you to improve your overall quality of life in the longer term.
More specifically the programme aims to:
-
Increase your understanding of CFS and the way that it affects you
-
To become more in control of your CFS by recognising your limitations and developing a better balance between activity and rest/relaxation
-
To learn to review and update your activity levels so that you can continue to work towards your long-term goals when you have completed the programme
-
To recognise and deal with any blocks that may be making it difficult for you to progress
-
To learn how to recognise and to manage a set-back (an increase in your symptoms).
The lifestyle management programme consisits of eight sessions which are all designed to improve your understanding of CFS and teach you ways to improve the lifestyle you lead.
