Accessed via web links to your practice application, DART OCM orders pathology requests directly from the GP's surgery. It enables users to input validated patient information, clinical information (both coded and free text) and clinical tests based on the repertoire of the laboratory.
The paper request form is printed with all the details necessary for complete and unequivocal identification of the patient. An electronic order is sent to the
laboratory at the same time as the form is printed, ensuring robust and effective processing of pathology requests.
There is an option to print sample labels, which will remove the need to fill out the patient details on the majority of patient sample bottles.
