  • Audiology (ear)The audiology and audiological medicine department manages and provides treatment for conditions such as tinnitus, dizziness and other hearing difficulties.
  • Endocrinology (hormones)The endocrinology department provides a comprehensive specialist endocrinology service for patients with conditions caused by hormonal problems.
  • Accident and emergency services (A&E)The Trust provides 24-hour accident and emergency facilities at both the Epsom and St Helier hospital sites. Both emergency departments are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There is also a dedicated paediatric A&E area on both hospital sites, where children under the age of 16 are seen.
  • Care of the elderlyThe care of the elderly departments at Epsom Hospital and St Helier Hospital sees all patients over the age of 75 for all medical conditions referred by GPs or other referring consultants.
  • Elective Orthopaedic CentreThe Elective Orthopaedic Centre is operated by the Trust in conjunction with neighbouring trusts on a partnership basis from Epsom Hospital.
  • Early pregnancy assessment unitInformation about the early pregnancy assessment unit at the Trust and the services it offers.
  • EndoscopyThe endoscopy unit is based at St Helier Hospital and offers a range of gastro-intestinal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Otorhinolaryngology (ear, nose and throat surgery)Ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgery can be required for a large number of conditions: from 'tonsils and adenoids', now a relatively rare operation, to the complex cochlear implantation for deafness or the treatment of head and neck cancer.
  • Children's accidents and emergencies (A&E)The Trust provides accident and emergency facilities at both Epsom and St Helier hospitals, and there is a dedicated paediatric A&E area on both hospital sites, where children under the age of 16 are seen.
  • Ophthalmology (eye surgery)The Ophthalmology (eye surgery) department provides a wide range of general clinics as well specialist eye care services at Epsom, Sutton and St Helier hospitals.
  • Endocrinology (paediatric and adolescent)The department provides a comprehensive specialist endocrinology service for children and young adults with conditions caused by hormonal problems. We carry out a full range of dynamic and other complex investigations on a day-case or outpatient basis at St Helier and Epsom hospitals.
