The cataract service is headed by five consultant ophthalmic surgeons who undertake modern small incision cataract surgery under local anaesthesia.
There are dedicated day case units situated on ward C2 at St Helier Hospital and the day case unit at Epsom Hospital.
These bright and friendly units have dedicated eye-trained nurses who undertake pre- and post-operative assessments of patients. There are also on-site recovery facilities and pharmacies.
