The Bridge Centre

The Bridge Fertility Centre for self-funding patients

The London Bridge Fertility, Gynaecology and Genetics Centre (also known as The Bridge) is one of the world's most advanced treatment centres for male and female infertility, diagnostic gynaecology and genetic screening.

The Bridge is, at the same time, friendly, relaxed and highly professional in its approach. Over 3500 babies have been born to Bridge parents.

As you may have guessed from the name, the Bridge is located very close to London Bridge, London SE1.

Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority

The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act was passed by Parliament in 1990, and as a result the Human Fertilisation and Embrology Authority (HFEA) was set up. One of their tasks is to monitor, inspect and license IVF treatment in the UK and ensure that the law is upheld.

Many of the forms you will be asked to complete are from the HFEA, such as the consent to the use of your eggs and sperm for treatment.
