Outpatient appointments

You are an outpatient if you are not hospitalised (you don't stay overnight) but visit a hospital, clinic, or associated facility for diagnosis or treatment. Treatment provided in this fashion is called ambulatory care.

Once you have been referred by your GP, please contact us to make an appointment.

If you call us, we will be able to offer you a choice of dates for your appointment straight away.

If you prefer to complete our online form or email us, we will get in touch with you to offer you a choice of dates. Please let us know how best to contact you when completing the form or emailing us.

To book your appointment

Please get in touch with us to book your outpatient appointment within three to five working days of seeing your GP:

If you are unable to attend

If you are unable to attend your outpatient appointment for any reason, you can cancel it here. The sooner you let us know that you are unable to make it, the better chance we have to offer the appointment slot to another patient:

When cancelling your appointment on the phone, we will offer you an alternative appointment straight away. If you prefer to use the online form or email we will get in touch with you to arrange an alternative appointment.

If you cancel your appointment more than once you might be referred back to your GP.

Please note that if you do not attend your appointment without cancelling it beforehand you will be referred back to your GP.

To rearrange your appointment

If you are unable to attend your outpatient appointment for any reason, you can rearrange it here. The sooner you let us know that you are unable to make it, the better chance we have to offer the appointment slot to another patient:

Appointment reminders

The Trust send out text messages to remind patients of their appointments. If you would like to use this service please ensure we have your correct mobile number by updating your contact details online.
