Your feedback counts: help others choose the right hospital

NHS Choices website
NHS Choices website

People review a wide range of products and services online, from cars to computers and holidays to hotels.

Leaving comments and feedback forms a vital source of independent information for other web users and now you can rate, leave comments and tell other people about your experience in hospital.

NHS Choices was launched to help people find information about medical treatment, conditions and healthy living. The site also provides access to other online services like Choose and Book and HealthSpace.

One of the key features of NHS Choices is the patient feedback facility: patients and visitors can write and leave feedback on their hospital experience.

Patients and visitors are asked to provide feedback on what they liked and suggestions they may have for how things could be improved.

We welcome patient feedback on NHS Choices because:

  • feedback from previous patients is a useful source of information for others who may be choosing which hospital to go to

  • the vast majority of patients are very satisfied with the care they receive

  • keeping a close eye on patient feedback is very helpful for us. It helps us understand what we do get right, as well as what we could improve.

Today’s patients can choose which hospital they want to be treated in and want clear information at the touch of a button to help them decide where to go.

Please leave feedback on your treatment by using the links below:

We are publish the comments directly from NHS Choices on our website: you can see examples on the right-hand side of this page. You can choose to remain anonymous if you wish.

A few tips for helpful comments

Please keep your contributions truthful, constructive, civil and relevant. Your feedback can help people make important decisions about where they choose to receive treatment.

Be helpful and respectful: think about what people might want to know about this hospital or how your experiences might benefit others. Remember your words must be polite and respectful, and you cannot name individuals.

When to contact the hospital directly

We will receive a copy of your message left on NHS Choices, and our PALS department will try to respond to each of them via the website. However, if you would like a detailed personal response, or would like to discuss personal details please contact us directly.
