There are many ways in which our patients can let us feedback about the care they have received at our hospitals, including via the national NHS Choices website.
Patients can use NHS Choices to give an 'overall' rating of a hospital by saying whether (or not) they would recommend it to a friend.
They can also give feedback on important issues such as: what they thought of the hospital's cleanliness; how well doctors and nurses worked together; and, if they were involved with decisions about the care they received.
We welcome patient feedback on NHS Choices because:
-
it helps us understand what we are doing well, as well as where we could improve;
-
feedback from previous patients is a useful source of information for others who may be choosing which hospital to go to;
-
the vast majority of patients are very satisfied with the care they receive.
Today’s patients can choose which hospital they want to be treated in and want clear information at the touch of a button to help them decide where to go.

A few tips for helpful comments
Please keep your contributions truthful, constructive, civil and relevant. Your feedback can help people make important decisions about where they choose to receive treatment.
Be helpful and respectful: think about what people might want to know about this hospital or how your experiences might benefit others. Remember your words must be polite and respectful, and you cannot name individuals.
When to contact the hospital directly
We will receive a copy of your message left on NHS Choices, and our PALS department will try to respond to each of them via the website. However, if you would like a detailed personal response, or would like to discuss personal details please contact us directly.
Our latest ratings
Each month, we publish our latest overall rating for each of our hospitals. These are percentages and relate to the number of patients who said they would recommend the hospital to a friend.
Furthermore, we publish those of other local hospitals. This allows people to make easy comparisons and to see how well we are doing.
