In June 2009, the Trust successfully launched a network for all staff with minority ethnic backgrounds or for anyone who has an interest in promoting Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) awareness.
The network aims to:

promote BME staff throughout the Trust;

make representations for the BME by acting as a collective voice;

promote the welfare of BME members by supporting and mentoring staff, as well as their career progression;

provide cultural awareness days and cultural issues by valuing diverse cultures;

provide advice to members on personal and professional issues.
