Gloria has worked at the Trust for four years and now works in four separate areas including pest control, waste management, grounds and gardens, and travel.
Talking about her varied roles in the Trust, Gloria said: "There's no such thing as an average day for me. I very rarely have the same sort of day twice in a row - I just have to see what's going on and what needs doing as and when it happens.
"All of my different roles have one thing in common - they're about improving the hospital environment for members of staff and patients, and that's something that's very close to my heart.
"It sounds sad to say it, but my real passion is waste - I'm pretty much obsessed with it! I worked for a waste contractor for 13 years before coming here, so I must love doing it.
"And it is a big issue for the Trust - we currently produce about 700 tonnes of clinical waste a year.
If we could reduce that by just 10 per cent, we could save more than £20,000 per year. That's definitely achievable and something that we should all be aiming for."
To help us cut the amount of waste we're producing, Gloria is currently in the process of launching a new recycling scheme.
She said: "Our current recycling rate is approximately 10 per cent of our domestic waste, like paper and general rubbish, but we're now in the process of introducing the recycling of cans, plastic bottles and glass in an attempt to boost our recycling rates."
When Gloria isn't trying to promote recycling, she spends her time making sure that the contractors who look after the grounds and gardens are keeping on top of things.
With her pest control hat on, she makes sure that no pests, such as pigeons or foxes, are causing a nuisance onsite.
Last but not least, she also runs the cycle to work scheme. Under the scheme, Trust employees are eligible to buy a bike tax-free which they can then pay off in instalments.
Gloria added: "My days are often jam-packed, but at least it keeps me busy!"
