Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon
Mr Muniraju has been a practicing ophthalmologist for the last 20 years. He completed his fellowship training at King's College Hospital and at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.
Currently he is a substantive Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust and Clinical Lead for the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme, Surrey.
Mr Muniraju is very keen to teach and is a member of the faculty at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, leading the microsurgical skills course, and is also the examiner for Royal College fellowship exams.
He is active in research and was the chief investigator for a multi-centre clinical trial on diabetic macular oedema.
Mr Muniraju was recently nominated for the Macular Society Award for Excellence and a Bayer Ophthalmology Honours award in 2015.
