Consultant Nephrologist and Joint Medical Director
Dr James Marsh studied at Oxford University before completing his clinical training at Guy’s Hospital. It was Guy's that James also completed a PhD investigating mechanisms of transplant rejection.
Dr Marsh was appointed as a Consultant Nephrologist at St Helier Hospital in 2003. Before becoming Joint Medical Director in 2011, he held roles as Clinical Lead for Transplantation and, from 2008, Clinical Director.
WhenDr Marsh is not working at St Helier, his clinical workload is largely based at St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey (General Nephrology, combined Renal-Diabetes, combined Renal-Rheumatology and Pre-Dialysis Clinics) and at the satellite dialysis unit at West Byfleet.
