Guidelines for GPs and clinicians
St Helier Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) guidelines
In 2014 NICE updated their clinical guideline on the identification and management of Chronic Kidney Disease. This local guideline reflects these national changes, and also provides concise advice on key CKD management issues relevant to primary care.
St Helier Ambulatory Care pathways
Ambulatory care refers to treating patients who are well enough to walk and talk and do not need to be admitted to hospital.
The ambulatory care service has been designed to improve the experience our patients have by treating suitable people in a comfortable designated space and allowing them to return home on the same day with planned follow up in the community or as a hospital outpatient.
