DrDoctor
We appreciate that many people have been waiting a long time to receive the treatment they need. Our work to book patients back in as quickly as possible continues at pace. We are working with one of our digital solutions providers, DrDoctor, to send text messages in the coming weeks, to some patients who are currently on our waiting lists, asking them to let us know if they still need to have an appointment at the Trust, as we are aware that their circumstances may have changed over the last year.
If you receive this text message, please do not ignore it - your response will be very important in help us manage our waiting list and making sure those that still require appointments are seen as soon as possible.
Depending on your response, we will be in touch with you again once an appointment becomes available, or to let you know that you have been safely discharged from our care.
Please be assured that we will not make any changes to your waiting list status unless we hear from you, and any appointment dates you may already have still stand.
Please note that any comments attached to your response will only be used to manage our waiting lists and therefore, may not be reviewed by a clinician.
If you have a medical problem or concern, and are unsure what to do, please contact your usual healthcare provider (e.g. your GP or NHS 111) directly.
How it works
1. If you are waiting for an appointment, we’ll send you a text message from 07860039092 asking you to respond to an online question.
2. Follow the drdoctor.thirdparty.nhs.uk link in your message to answer the question about if you need your appointment.
3. Once you've responded, we'll ask you to enter your name, date of birth and postcode. This confirms is who is responding.
4. Depending on your response, you will either remain on our waiting list or we'll be in touch again in the coming weeks with information on next steps.
5. Please note your comments will only be used to manage our waiting lists and may not be reviewed by a clinician.
