Following the success of our first ever Walk4Wards event in April 2019, we are thrilled to announce we’re doing it all again in 2020 - the date for your diary is Sunday 29 March!

Last year over 200 supporters joined us for a scenic seven mile fundraising walk between Epsom and St Helier hospitals and raised an amazing £29,000.

Every mile you walk and every pound you raise will go towards supporting the patients and staff of our hospitals and community services. You can find a map of the route here: W4W Map [pdf] 3M.

Wards and departments have been busy deciding how best to spend the funds following last year’s Walk4Wards; St Helier’s Intensive Care Unit has been able to purchase more comfortable seating for waiting areas to try and make a life a little easier for the loved ones of their very sick patients. Another department, the Oral Maxillofacial (surgery for face and jaws), has put the funds towards buying a device which measures blood clotting levels for patients prior to minor surgery. This means patients no longer need to visit phlebotomy first for a blood sample and then wait for it to be processed by haematology saving precious time for everyone!

The walk will start at 10am (with registration from 9.30am) on Sunday 29 March and takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours depending on your pace.

So, if you would like to have a fantastic day out and support your local hospitals at the same time, sign up for Walk 4 Wards 2020 today!

Please note there is a separate registration form for children under 18 years of age.  A registration form must be completed for every adult and child taking part in the event. Once you have signed up check out the Walk4Wards fundraising materials which includes a sponsorship form and poster template.

Registration will close at 23.59 on Sunday 1 MARCH 2020.
