Facilities on the ward

  • Single/mixed sex: This area is a specialist area, which means that, on occasions, men and women will be treated alongside each other. This is to make sure they receive the best possible clinical care, i.e. the team are able to safely monitor them.
  • Other facilities: 1 bathroom (situated in the Ambulatory Care Area), 12 trolleys in the major area, 4 resuscitation bays (one paediatric and three adult), 5 cubicles in the minor area with dedicated facilities for ophthalmology and ENT (Ear, nose and throat) examination, Ambulatory Care Unit which has four chairs and two trolleys, 3 cubicles with trolleys in the separate dedicated paediatric .area.
