Our searchable ward directory contains information about our wards, including contact details, location information, visiting hours, names of key ward staff and what you can or cannot bring onto the ward.

To use the directory simply go to the relevant hospital to see a list of all wards. Then click on the name of the ward to see the detail page for this ward. Alternatively you can use the search to find what you are looking for.

Ward routine

  • Ward rounds:

    Your consultant will see you daily as a minimum and may visit at any time during the day. If you or a family member would like to meet the consultant outside of his/her daily visit then this can be arranged by speaking with one of the nurses.

  • Medicine rounds: 8am, 12noon, 2pm, 6pm and 10pm
  • Breakfast: 8am
  • Lunch: 1pm
  • Dinner: 5.30pm
  • Beverage rounds: 10.30am, 3pm and 7.30pm. Drinks are freely available outside these hours.

Facilities on the ward

  • Number of inpatient beds: 20
  • Number of single bedded rooms: 20
  • Single/mixed sex: All single rooms with ensuite facilities.
  • Other facilities: All rooms have ensuite bathrooms and toilets. Each room has a TV set and a telephone. Internet access is also available.

Visiting the ward and restrictions for visitors

  • Visiting hours: Open visiting for private patients
  • Max visitors per bed: 4
  • Mobile phone policy: Mobile phones allowed on silent mode only.
  • Other restrictions for visitors:

    Children can visit at the discretion of the ward manager.

Restrictions for patients

  • What you cannot bring or use at this ward:

    Large amounts of money and/or credit cards will be the patient's responsibility whilst on the ward.
    Electrical items must be checked by a hospital electrician prior to use. Any item will be the patient’s responsibility.
