Ward routine

  • Ward rounds:

    8am, 12noon and 5pm on weekdays, times may vary at weekends. Please liaise with the nurse in charge about speaking to a doctor at other times. Nurse handover is at 7.30am and 7.30pm

  • Single/mixed sex: This ward is a specialist area, which means that men and women will be treated alongside each other. This is to ensure they receive the best possible clinical care, ie nurses are able to safely monitor them.

Visiting the ward and restrictions for visitors

  • Visiting hours: Visiting times are open however visitors are asked to leave during ward rounds, nursing handover and patient rest periods
  • Max visitors per bed: 2
  • Mobile phone policy: Mobile phones cannot be used and must be switched off.
  • Other restrictions for visitors:

    Please speak to the nurse in charge regarding children visiting. Visitors will be asked to leave during ward rounds, patient procedures and rest periods.
