Shaping our culture - Your Voice, Your Values
Improving the experience our patients have of our services is one of our key objectives, and forms a central part of our mission to provide great care to every patient, every day.
We know that in order to get things right for our patients, their loved ones and carers, we also need to get things right for our staff. To help make sure we do just that, we have launched a piece of work to co-design our Trust values and behaviours with our staff. We very much want to involve patients, relatives and carers in this work.
There are two key opportunities where we would like patients, relatives and carers to get involved in helping us, with our staff, to shape the values, culture and behaviours of our organisation.
Your voice, Your values – survey
We would like to invite as many people as possible to complete our survey. This is completely anonymous. It can be filled in online (opens in a new window) or on paper - paper copies are available from either Epsom Hospital or St Helier Hospital, from the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS). You can also download a hard copy Your Voice Your Values survey [pdf] 305KB to complete and post back to us.
In Your Shoes - patient and staff events
We would like to invite patients, carers and visitors who have a recent experience of our hospitals and services within the last two years to register and come to one of our two events being held in September.
The events last two hours and light refreshments will be provided. For anyone needing to park at the hospitals we will also provide free parking. At the events we will be asking people to share their recent experiences with staff in small groups of about three people to ensure that everyone attending has the opportunity to contribute. The details of the events are as follows:
Epsom Hospital – Tuesday 11 September
11.30am – 1.30pm
Conference Room 1, 2nd Floor F block (Wells Wing)
St Helier – Thursday 13 September
11.30am – 1.30pm
Whitehall Lecture Theatre, Education Centre
St Helier Hospital
Anyone interested can book online (opens in a new window) or by telephoning 020 8296 3780 (there is an out-of-hours answer machine which will take messages).
We very much hope that you can complete the questionnaire and join us at one of the events as your views are critical in shaping the future of our organisation. If you have any questions about our Your voice, Your values work, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
