In November 2010, the Trust launched a network to help support and give advice to members of staff who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT).
Homophobia has no place in society and it definitely doesn't have a place in the modern NHS. The LGBT network not only actively supports all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender members of staff and their allies but LGBT patients also.
Networks like this can be of great benefit, not only in the workplace but also socially, and they can also help to provide information and support on other aspects that affect our lives at work and at home.
