From our regular Board meetings to our Annual Public Meeting, we host a number of events that our patients, visitors and members of the public can attend and get involved with.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) open day

Saturday 5 October 2019 from 10am to 2pm.

The Gastroenterology Department at St Helier Hospital would like to invite you to attend the second Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) open day. The event is for patients and health care professionals to increase awareness of IBD and the care provided by St Helier hospital.

Upcoming Board meetings

Board meetings are held in public at either St Helier or Epsom Hospital. You are welcome to attend the meetings and listen to the discussions that take place. 

Please be aware that all public board meetings will be filmed and that this footage, including the questions asked, will be made available on the Trust's website. Our filming will continue to be strategically arranged so the camera is fixed on members of the Trust Board and not on any members of the public.  

Public Board meetings 2020-21

  • Friday 1 May between 9.30am – 12pm, Conference Room One, Epsom Hospital
  • Friday 12 June between 9.30am – 10.30am, Whitehall Lecture Theatre, St Helier Hospital (this is an extraordinary Board to present the accounts)
  • Friday 10 July between 9.30am – 12pm, Whitehall Lecture Theatre, St Helier Hospital
  • Friday 11 September between 9.30am – 12pm, Conference Room One, Epsom Hospital
  • Friday 13 November between 9.30am – 12pm, Whitehall Lecture Theatre, St Helier Hospital
  • Friday 8 January 2021 between 9.30am – 12pm, Conference Room One, Epsom Hospital.

The agenda for these meetings will be published in the Board papers and agendas section of our website one week before each meeting. The papers that are to be discussed will be published in advance of the meeting. Previous minutes are also available.

Volunteer information events

We regularly hold events to help people find out more about volunteer, and to kick-start the journey to becoming a volunteer. Due to current circumstances, our Volunteer Informeation Events are on-hold. Events to raise funds for Epsom Medical Equipment Fund

The following have been organised in aid of Epsom Medical Equipment Fund to raise money for medical equipment for Epsom Hospital.

Charity car boot Sales (supported by AutoTest) 

The car boot sales have been cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemnic. The car boot sales raises much needed funds for Epsom Medical Equipment Fund. The Fund is rateful to AutoTest for their support over the years.

Epsom Light Opera Company: 'Crazy For You' at Epsom Playhouse from 13-17 October 2020 (postponed from April 2020)

After much deliberation, the production team and ELOC Committee decided to postpone Crazy For You until 13-17 October 2020. We hope you will be able to make this new date. A collection will be made during the interval and after the show for Epsom Medical Equipment Fund. ELOC have supported EMEF for many years and the Fund is very appreciative to for their support.

Barn Dance at Ewell Castle School, Saturday 31 October at 7pm, with the Hogsmill Group and caller Veronica

Sadly, the very popular barn dance which was due to be held in April has been postponed and will now take place on Saturday 31 October (subject to confirmation). Tickets are £20 each to include a fish and chip supper (please bring your own dips, nibbles, drink and glass). Tickets are available from Bess Harding on 020 8337 8181.
