Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity are calling all keen cyclists – or simply anyone who wants a great adventure – to put their fundraising pedal power to the test and take on the NHS London to Paris Cycle Ride this September, all to raise vital funds for your local hospitals.
This iconic 300 mile ride will take you through beautiful English villages and into the stunning countryside of rural France, before reaching Paris on the 4th day to complete your challenge under the Eiffel Tower!
Whether you join as an individual or as a team, you can make it a ‘tour de fundraising’ to support the ward or department that means the most to you!
Director of Communications and Patient Experience, Lisa Thomson, said: “At Epsom and St Helier, we are lucky enough to be supported by an army of volunteers and a band of dedicated fundraisers, but this is the first time ever that the Trust’s charity has put out a call for people to take part in such an epic challenge! I know that amongst those who support us there are bound to be people who are brave enough to take on this mammoth challenge!
“Whether you’re an experienced rider looking to put in some mileage, or a complete beginner looking for your first ever multi-day ride, you will find other cyclists at your level, have the opportunity to make new friends and go on an incredible adventure that will stay with you forever. Places are limited, so if you think you have what it takes (maybe you even fancy yourself as the next Bradley Wiggins?!), sign up today!”
Participants will be the first people ever to wear a unique Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity cycling jersey, as well as being eligible to join your team for an exclusive training day (with a professional cycling coach) to help you get ready for the event.
Dates: 25-29 September 2019. The registration fee is £125, minimum sponsorship is £1,600 (with an option to self-fund half/raise half).
