Emergency departments face their busiest Monday of the year on first day of junior doctors strikes
The British Medical Association (BMA) and the Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association (HCSA), the trade unions for doctors in the UK, have announced that their members will be participating in strike action for 72 hours from 7am on Monday 13 March until 7am on Thursday 16 March.
Tens of thousands of patients were tested for HIV in our emergency departments last year, thanks to an opt-out scheme that aims to ensure people who have the virus get the support they need quickly.
