Our emergency departments (EDs) and hospitals are under extreme pressure right now – and we expect them to continue to be very busy over the coming months.

Hardworking NHS staff have cared for hundreds of thousands of patients in Surrey and South West London over the past 12 months – and they won’t be letting up over Christmas. 

It has been announced that London Ambulance Service will be striking on Wednesday 21 December from midday to midnight, and South East Coast Ambulance Service that same day from 6am to midnight, and from midnight to 11.59pm on Wednesday 28 December. The following days may also be affected as a result.
