Local people are invited to write a special message to loved ones and hang it on the Christmas memorial trees at Epsom and St Helier hospitals.

Adults attending the Emergency Department at St Helier Hospital will now be routinely screened for HIV in a bid to detect the condition earlier, as figures show that the London Borough of Sutton has one of the highest rates of late diagnosis of the virus.

Doctors and nurses working for Epsom and St Helier are issuing a plea to all those who use the hospitals and community services to be respectful of staff, after new figures show a rise in the number of physical assaults against team members. 

This weekend the Government confirmed that hundreds of millions of pounds of funding is to be made available for Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust to develop a new major acute hospital.

Epsom and St Helier hospitals have been rated as Good by the Care Quality Commission (the independent regulator of health and social care services in England), after a comprehensive inspection of services across the organisation. 

The NHS in London is pleased to announce that Gillian Norton OBE DL will become Chairman of Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust on 1 October 2019.

Members of the public living near Epsom Hospital are invited to come and find out more about the Trust’s plans for additional parking on the site at a drop-in information session on Thursday 12 September from 3pm – 7pm.
