TV presenter Elle Osili-Wood has recorded a special message to NHS staff as the countdown gets under way to the second gesh CARE Awards.
Last winter, St George’s, Epsom and St Helier hospitals were hit by a flood of flu as well as RSV, Covid and norovirus – closing wards, adding to the strain on Emergency Departments (ED) and putting extra pressure on staff, as the virus gripped hospitals up and down the country.

Our hospitals are currently very busy and we're seeing higher numbers of people come to our emergency departments - with Monday (13 October) one of our busiest days so far this year.
