The Madam Mayor of Sutton, Councillor Jean Crossby, visited the newly transformed Stroke Unit at St Helier recently, taking the time to have a look at the improvements, speak to patients, staff, and visitors, as well as saying a quick hello to the unit’s therapy dog, Dudley. 

Epsom and St Helier are delighted to announce the arrival of the newly established Home Birth Team to the Trust. 

Epsom and St Helier launched its first Christmas toy appeal in November, and thanks to all the generous support and help with donations from local people and organisations, we  were able to give out presents to all our paediatric patients this festive season.

Now that winter is well and truly upon us and the weather has reached biting temperatures, doctors and nurses at Epsom and St Helier hospitals are urging local people to take some simple steps to keep warm and well during this cold period.

A brand new, cutting edge Audiology Department has opened its doors to patients at St Helier Hospital, following a £850,000 project to completely redesign and rebuild the unit.

Local people are being urged to only come to the A&E departments at Epsom and St Helier hospitals in genuine emergencies, as the hospitals and their A&E departments are extremely busy.

Although this is the season for mulled wine and mince pies, doctors and nurses at Epsom and St Helier are urging local people to drink responsibly and look after their health this Christmas and New Year.

Epsom and St Helier hospitals are inviting patients, staff and visitors to pay tribute to the memory of a loved one this festive season, with a beautiful memory Christmas tree in the main entrance to each hospital.
