This New Year was a double celebration for a number of local families, as Epsom and St Helier hospitals welcomed nine new babies to the world.

Following the announcement of the junior doctors’ industrial action, we would like to assure local people that we are working hard to make sure any disruption to services is kept to an absolute minimum. 

Queen Mary’s Hospital for Children received a large dose of festive cheer as the Starlight Christmas Pantomime stopped by to entertain the young patients on the Children’s Ward recently.

Epsom Medical Equipment Fund and the Leatherhead Lions Club have joined together to purchase a welcome gift for the respiratory department at Epsom Hospital this winter: two brand new breathing aids costing £7,200.

The Rt Hon Chris Grayling, MP for Epsom and Ewell, has officially opened the Eye Unit and brand new Cardiology Day Unit at Epsom Hospital. 

Two members of the portering team at Sutton Hospital have been recognised by their colleagues for their dedication and high quality of work.  

Parents and guardians of sick children being cared for at Epsom Hospital can now take a break in a newly-refurbished room just off the ward – complete with comfy furniture and a small kitchen.

Epsom and St Helier hospitals have teamed up with a local charity to help spread some Christmas cheer to patients going home alone from hospital over the festive season.
