This is a facility with up to 300 beds that will help us to care for and support patients who are recovering from COVID-19 and who no longer need care in an acute hospital, or those who have COVID and can no longer cope with their symptoms at home.
Over the last few weeks, hundreds of people and local companies have reached out to our hospitals and community services to express their gratitude for staff.
Chief Executive of Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, Daniel Elkeles, said: “As of 5pm Wednesday 8 April, sadly we can confirm that a further ten patients died whose results have now been confirmed as positive for COVID-19.
