Doctors at Epsom and St Helier hospitals have issued some useful advice to help you avoid costly or painful pitfalls, and stay safe and healthy abroad.

Chief Executive Daniel Elkeles said: “To ensure we are making the most of our estate and assets, we have looked at what land we have but don’t use, and the areas within our grounds that we will never need.  This is known as estate rationalisation, and it’s something that all NHS trusts have been asked to do following the Naylor Report. 

Summer is certainly in full swing and while the hot weather and sunshine is great for enjoying time outside with friends and family, doctors and nurses at Epsom and St Helier hospitals are urging people to stay safe in high temperatures and strong sunshine.

There was bunting, balloons and birthday cake at Epsom and St Helier recently, as staff from across the hospitals joined the NHS 70 celebrations.

Patients, visitors and members of the public are all invited to put their questions to the Trust Board and hear more about a year in the life of their local hospitals at Epsom and St Helier’s Annual Public Meeting this week.

Epsom and St Helier hospitals will be hosting a drop in event on Wednesday 20 June at Banstead Community Hall for all catheter users and their carers as part of Catheter Care Awareness Week (18 - 24 June).

A new Urgent Treatment Centre has opened at Epsom Hospital following a £1 million investment, meaning patients can be directed to the right team for non-emergency care faster than ever before.
