The gesh Green Plan has launched
Today we’re committing to switching to an electric fleet of vehicles, with hundreds transitioning from petrol by 2028. The move will help cut air pollution for our communities, patients and staff.
We’re also going to reduce unnecessary journeys to hospital by moving to virtual care where safe to do so. This will lower the impact of travel on the environment, while being more convenient for our patients.
This is all part of new Green Plan launched today – World Environmental Health Day – and our commitment to helping the NHS become carbon neutral by 2040.
