Chinyama Okunuga, Site Chief Executive Officer, Epsom & St Helier's University Hospitals, has issued a plea to the public to get their flu jab

Inspectors heard that patients felt listened to, respected and well cared for, often despite the challenges of our ageing hospital buildings. They also recognised capable leaders, clear strategies, improvements in complaints handling and strong collaboration with health and care partners.

Chinyama (Chin) Okunuga joined Epsom and St Helier as Site Chief Executive Officer this month making her one of the most senior Black women in the NHS. Chin has written this open letter to her colleagues about why representation matters and her commitment to challenge inequality wherever she can.

The third charity-funded ‘gesh CARE awards’ were held on Wednesday 23 September at London's iconic Kia Oval. Colleagues at St George’s, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group (gesh) were recognised at their annual 'Oscars', featuring tributes from grateful patients and their families.

A roast chicken dinner at a pub left Udhyam Amin fighting for his life after he developed severe sepsis and multi-organ failure. Now, having made an incredible recovery, Udhyam and his family are raising more than £37,000 to support the Intensive Care Unit (ITU) at St Helier Hospital.

The latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) Adult Inpatient Survey highlights strong performance across a number of key areas, with patients particularly positive about the way they were treated during their hospital stay.
