Net gains: Local hospitals launch brand new state-of-the-art website
After four months of hard work (and approximately 600 working hours in the making), the brand new and improved website of Epsom, Sutton and St Helier hospitals is now live.
Sporting a fresh new design and a layout that’s much easier to navigate, the new site has been created to make sure our patients, visitors and members of the public can find everything they need to know about our hospitals at the touch of a button.
And, using state-of-the-art web design, the site is now even easier to use on the go – so whether you want to find out about the hospitals using your tablet or smart phone, the format of the site will change to suit your device.
Ebony Nutsford, Digital Communications Manager, said: “It’s been a busy and challenging four months, but we are absolutely delighted with the new website. We’ve worked closely with staff, patients and the public to design and create the website that they need and want and the feedback has been really positive.
“We know that a lot of people who visit our website will be preparing for an appointment in hospital or planning to come and visit a loved one who’s unwell. That can be a distressing time for people, so we have to ensure they can find the information that they need quickly, easily and without adding further stress to an already difficult situation. Every section of the website has been created with our patients and their relatives in mind, and we hope that shines through.
“The team is really pleased with the look and functionality of the new site, but we want everyone to have their say. Please email any thoughts or feedback to communication@esth.nhs.uk – we look forward to hearing from you.”
Member of the public, Julian Pearcey, was part of the group who ensured that patient’s needs were at the heart of the new website. He said: “I am very impressed with the way the information is set out, the clarity and lack of unnecessary information in each page, and the general uncluttered look. It is one of the clearest and most informative out there.”
