Patient transport service

We have a patient transport service for patients who have a genuine medical need and are unable to travel to hospital on their own.

Booking transport

For your first referral to the hospital, the request for transport will be made by your GP. If there are any further follow up appointments, the hospital department will book any necessary transport.  

Patients registered with a GP in Surrey Downs 

Patients can book their own transport via the patient transport booking line on 020 8296 3960. The booking line is open 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).

Queries and cancellation of bookings

If you have any queries about an existing booking or want to cancel a booking:

• For Surrey Downs CCG patients, please contact the transport desk on 020 8296 3960 (available 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays)
• For all other patients, please contact the transport desk on 020 8296 3960 (available seven days a week).
