Donate eggs, sperm or embryo

Egg.sperm, or embyro donation There are a variety of reasons that people or couples may rely on egg, sperm, or embryo donations to start a family. Whilst the most obvious one is infertility, there are other motivations too. Some people may have serious inherited diseases that they don’t want to pass down, and sometimes single women or trans men may want to have a child on their own. These people may rely on donations of eggs, sperm, or embryos. Each donation process is different and it is important to remember that you will have no legal rights to a child born through egg, sperm or embryo donation. Financial compensation is available for both sperm and egg donation, but you should think carefully about your decision and make sure you are well-informed on the process. The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority have all the information you should need for understanding egg, sperm, and embryo donation.
