Annual Celebrations

Black Breastfeeding Awareness Week
We celebrate Black Breastfeeding Week by asking staff and parents to complete a quiz about their knowledge of potential challenges that black women may encounter but also aboutthe value of breastfeeding. Parents and staff loved the quizzes, not only providing some entertainment but also informing parents all about infant feeding. Our maternity teams are also treated to some cupcakes!

National Breastfeeding Celebration Week
National Breastfeeding Celebration Week gives the Infant Feeding Team a chance to celebrate breastfeeding and the benefits it brings to both mothers and new-borns. This is usually a week full of celebration but because of COVID-19 we marked the occasion by hosting a quiz and distributing to our parentson the ward.
